On-chain transactions are visible to all network participants and are secured by consensus mechanisms like Proof of Work or Proof of Stake. These transactions are integral to decentralized applications, smart contracts, and cryptocurrencies. Being on-chain allows for trustless interactions, as the blockchain automatically enforces and validates the rules. This reliability makes on-chain operations fundamental to the integrity of blockchain systems.
