Leveraged Tokens

Leveraged Tokens

Last Updated: January 23, 2026

Leveraged tokens are financial instruments offering amplified exposure to cryptocurrencies without requiring direct management of leverage.

Leveraged tokens are financial instruments that offer traders amplified exposure to the price movements of cryptocurrencies. They aim to provide a multiplied return compared to the underlying asset, often labeled as 2x, 3x, etc. These tokens automatically manage their leverage through rebalancing, minimizing the risk of liquidation. Unlike traditional margin trading, they do not require users to manage collateral or worry about margin calls. Ideal for short-term trading, they can enhance gains in trending markets. However, their value can erode in volatile or sideways markets due to the compounding effect of daily rebalancing.
