ERC-404 is a term referring to a proposed Ethereum token standard that was not officially recognized or adopted by the Ethereum community. Unlike other ERC standards, such as ERC-20 or ERC-721, ERC-404 was not formalized into an active standard. It may have been proposed for specific use cases but remained in a conceptual phase without broader implementation. As a result, it does not hold significance in the Ethereum ecosystem compared to recognized standards.
